Shaun - THE WILD CHAIRS
Rug chair
The carpet is like a surface to be put in volume. It takes off the ground to unfold in space and form a seat.
Supported by an aluminum sheet structure, the rug blurs the sharp lines of the metal. These flat sheets, cut and formed, pass in 3D without confection.
Through the interaction of these two materials, the chair appears as a sensitive, almost living surface. The wool somehow returns to its original state. Like a fur that one puts on its back, it is a coat that comes to dress the naked structure of the chair.
In this cohabitation, the chair finds a form of animality, it is an object of comfort, enveloping and cozy despite its apparent radicality. Touch and sensations are highlighted.
