About

Caroline Ziegler and Pierre Brichet created the studio BrichetZiegler in 2010.

Their design practice is shaped by both serial production and experimental research.

They conceive distinctive objects at the crossroads of industry and craft, combining an approach that is as technical as it is poetic. Rooted in a long-term perspective, their objects embrace a diversity of forms and a meticulous attention to line, resulting in bold and strong design language.

Pierre and Caroline challenge conventional production processes and manufacturing tools to explore the structural and formal possibilities of materials, to create graphic, expressive and generous forms.

In 2015, they created the collection By Hands, handmade by them in limited edition. Their Haute-Savoie workshop is a place where they experiment shapes and several know-how, making prototypes and one-off pieces.

They collaborate with furniture and lighting companies : Petite Friture, DCW Editions, Théorème Editions, 13 Desserts, Moustache, Pulpo, Habitat, Hermès Petit h, Maison Drucker, Toulemonde Bochart, Drugeot Manufacture, Carocim, and French institutions like the Ministry of Culture and Fondation d'entreprise Hermès.

In 2017, they have been awarded the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris.

Some of their products belong to French permanent collections like Mobilier National and CNAP, who recently acquired The Wild Chairs collection. Their Ombre Portée table lamps are installed on the French President’s desk.
