Together with Sokoa and La Chaise Française, we decided to create a new office chair that is affordable and comfortable, without producing new tooling and by using existing components.
Made entirely in France, the project is the result of a collaboration between these French manufacturers.
Today, thousands of plywood moulds exist in the warehouses of specialized factories. Instead of making new ones, the idea was to reuse and reinvent them.
We selected one shell from the catalogue and imagined new cuts to create a dialogue between the cloud-like inner pads, which provide comfort and the chair’s aesthetic signature. The wood is intentionally left visible in order to bring warmth and a familiar feel. Thus, the chair can easily be used for home offices or in contemporary workspaces.
